Basically, a worldview is a view of the world — a mental model of reality, a set of theories (believed by a person or a community) about what exists, how and why things happen, and what it means — that is used for living in the world, that serves as a foundation for our thoughts, decisions, and actions. http://www.xenos.org/classes/papers/5wldview.htm
